I kept my k mount glass for fifteen fucking years waiting for them to make that ... and then sold them :0
It's not good-looking, but I bet it's great.

So on the D3 you chad the shutter button but if you half pressed it, it would focus first.
You also had the af button on the back too that you could focus with, so you could pick either one to focus. The D750 doesn't have that but it has a ae-l button on the back and you can change it to autofocus button in the menus, but when you do that it takes the shutter release button just becomes that and you can use it to autofocus at all like pressing it half in.
Its fuckin stupid but apparently loads of folk have come up on this problem, i;d have though Nikon would have released a firmware update that fixes it.... But no

Probably the ugliest camera ever but it doesn't matter because it sounds great. The pixel shift thing (sensor moves to record rgb values for each pixel) and gps based star tracking are very niche but cool features. And it's ridiculiusly weather sealed.

Can you assign different buttons for different AF modes? Eg: back button x for single shot, back button y for continuous.
-
• #12632
Hah! you and me both, used to have lots of them, right down to the 50mm 1.4.

Back-button focus or GTFO.

The sunsets here (Newport, Fife) are just too good at this time of year!
Similar shot to the other day but even more detail on the train.

Ah ok, see what you mean now. Thanks.

Absolutely, and I don't even mind the aesthetics so much haha
The "roof" of the pentaprism bit looks ugly af though

Yeah, the utilitarian look is a pretty strong statement that it is intended as a tool and not a piece of consumer electronics but it does look like it was designed by engineers, which can go either way.
The D-pad looks a little fiddly and I'm not really a fan of horizontal control wheels from an ergonomic point of view but I'm just so accustomed to Canon's vertically orientated wheels so Nikon users will probably find it more familiar. To be fair, they've met half-way with the front scroll wheel which is more diagonal. -

Sigma have announced a pair of very strange looking cameras. One of which is APS-H (between full frame and crop).

Sigma have announced a pair of very strange looking cameras.
..again!
Remember Ming Thein commenting on the DP2 Quattro
you’re going to have to a) figure out how to hold it, and if you can hold it; b) purchase the LVF-01 LCD finder to have any modicum of stability or ability to see the screen in sunlight when shooting.Do not have much experience with the Sigmas, sure their shapes are awkward, though to me holding any kind of compact camera is somewhat awkward.
-
• #12645
If Sigmas employ similar user interface and design as the Ricoh, it'd be amazing.
-
• #12646
Yea plus more responsive operation, quicker AF, better high ISO performance, and some other things.
Don't get me wrong, I've seen some great photos shot with them in bright daylight of non-moving subjects - so if that's what you do you're all set, but for other types of photography they just suck.

The sigma has the viewfinder in completely the wrong place?

I think I have decided on the X100t, now I just need to contain my impatience until my birthday (late May).
