IMO currently everyone in bike sales is saying that if you want advantage of disc brakes, you need someone who knock what to do.

FTFY.

Even back in 2011, it's possible to make it feel sharp and smooth.

ok then find me DA level disc brake for say £200 (still £60 more than what you can get DA9000 rim brake pair for). Everything included.

You need to be more specific when you asked this.

What part of the DA? the braking power? the weight? the modulation?

All of them beat DA when it come to sheer stopping power.
