    @BleakReference ... seem to be quite a lot of noise/squeal/hiss probs reported with the reverb on that amp. Some say spray switch-cleaner in all reverb sockets, and/or change reverb cables to better shielded ones, or replace appropriate 12AX7 valve. Try those if you can, or else set out to meet a new amp techie friend?

    I'll give it a bash, cheers dude. I used to build point to point amps back in the days (albeit from a pre-filled design) so I've a little tech knowledge but I've never worked with spring verb so it's all quite a new tech to me. (Ironic given that it's probably one of the oldest bits of guitar amp tech out there.)
