  • adding paint weight? why?

  • Dude, that paint is awesome, don't strip it!

  • I've been trying really hard to like it, but it's just too minging. Am hopeful Mario will do a decent job on it.

@amey because crits and flattish road racing. Couple hundred grams I can live with.

  • fair, mario will do awesome job no doubt.

  • He's kindly going to recreate some of the decals in black and matt clearcoat on top. I'm pretty excited.

And now back to all-black disc builds ;)

  • I'm glad I waited out to get a black caad. That paint is too busy.

  • People who get their frames painted - are you not fussed about warranty, generally?

  • Anyone want to buy a classic?

  • I came here to post that! Josh has got an even better Cannondale on the way 😈

@Dick give you bike to me, I'll spice the paint up a bit...

  • What could be better than that?

  • How and what you painting with? Pretty bored with mine.

  • Rattle cans and a manic glint in the eye. Look a couple pages back for a picture of mine, which is holding up surprisingly well. The black is absolutely professional, although the pink is looking a bit shabby after a winter's abuse.

  • If it was a carbon Evo nano or whatnot then I might.

  • If you buy it second hand you usually don't get warranty unless they have the correct papers etc

  • And this too. Warranty is non transferable and in reality difficult to fudge.

You'd need receipts without the original customers name etc.

Also there's some good comments on how much the warranty is worth in this thread.

  • Frame is new and I've registered it with Cannondale. Guess I'll just have to fight my corner if them if I ever have a claim. Here's hoping I don't.

In the meantime I'll just keep the original paint. More money for components that way, anyway. Should have it build up in a few weeks!

    SS Evo HM
Ultegra 6700 groupset (used from old frame)
    DA 9000 chainset w/praxis BB
Campag Zonda w/GP4000s (will be upgraded later in year)
    Cannondale C2 carbon post
    Spesh Romin carbon railed saddle
    Deda zero elementi 120mm stem

Need to decide on bars - have some Ritchey alu bars but they're 46cm and I feel like I'd be more comfortable on narrower bars, probably try a 44cm.

  • Measure the length from shoulder to shoulder

  • just found this on a local site. for sale too.. (54)

  • Took me a minute but that's actually kinda pretty nice.

Decided on some Ritchey WCS Streem II bars.

Fancied carbon but I'll be racing it so figure alu bars are probably a smarter idea.

  • found on the ww forum

  • Anyone know where I can find 165mm Hollowgram SI cranks?

  • A Cannondale dealer should be able to get them in for you?

Feels like stating the obvious though.

  • Campag >>>>>>>>

  • Errrmm... Why are the Seatposts on the new CAAD12 25.fucking4mm?!!?!!?!
