They're due end of Feb now.
-
• #903
Im sure its possible, I wouldnt be surpriesed to find Thorn already give it.
-
• #904
Well was thinking that if you used a long enough piece of heatshrink it would be ok, is water ingress likley under 10cm of the stuff?
-
• #905
OooO, do we know prices/stockist yet? Trition maybe?
-
• #906
Ison do distribution so CharlieTBM, Triton etc. and most LBS can get them... http://www.ison-distribution.com/english/product.php?part=RASU24PFK
Speaking to my LBS, they're on the boat from Taiwan already along with a bunch of other Surly/QBP stuff so the end of Feb date is fairly likely.

Well I need to get my act togther then and get some eyelets added to my forks!
-
• #908
All stripped for modification, then paint.
Getting a 3rd bottle cage and two bosses on the fork crown for my new soma 24 pack rack, which in turn will allow me to use low risers when I want to use panniers.
Forgot how heavy the forks are, as heavy if not heavier than the frame.
Also wondering about putting drops back on too...
-
• #909
Amazing how ratty the paint now looks.
What colour are you thinking?
-
• #910
Three and a bit years of hard use will do that.
I was thinking a burnt metallic orange, maybe a little like this.
-
• #911
Pump pegs?
-
• #912
I only just remember this, I've asked if it's not too late to pop one on the seat stay.
-
• #913
Should be a pump mount like this:
I'll have to get my pump painted now!
Also wondering about a dark red like the classic clubman:
-
• #914
Mounted on seat stay is the best option I found, especially when you're carrying the bike and easily knock off the pump in the Raleigh photo, plus more bottle cages.
-
• #915
Yeah under the top tube is annoying when I have to lift the bike upstairs etc it always slips out.
Wonder if I should get the racks painted to match too...
-
• #916
If it only cost a little more, why not.
-
• #917
Because then I'll have to buy the low risers now so they'll match as well!
-
• #918
Work out the pricing of how much it'll cost if you get them all painted together, might give you a bit of a discount if it's possible.
Althought new Long GB mudguard would complete it perfectly (unpainted).
-
• #919
hello!
-
• #920
Double painted racks does look good....
-
• #921
Who's modifying your frame?
Also, would you be interested in selling the old rack? -
• #922
A friend who's very kindly doing it as a favour and no, sorry, it's been constantly useful. I'll be keeping it for the future, may well go back on my track bike.
-
• #923
Ahoy! Looking forward to some fun this year!
-
• #924
Have you seen Robbie's bike? It's a Clubman in exactly that colour...
-
• #925
As long you don't paint the mudguard and stem too, it'll look real classy.
Electronically this will be fine, obviously be careful to match up the wires the right way. Dunno about water-proofing though.
