Yesterday, on hearing about the death of Umberto Eco, I posted the following quote in the RIP thread:
How does a person feel when looking at the sky? He thinks that he doesn’t have enough tongues to describe what he sees. Nevertheless, people have never stopping describing the sky, simply listing what they see... We have a limit, a very discouraging, humiliating limit: death. That’s why we like all the things that we assume have no limits and, therefore, no end. It’s a way of escaping thoughts about death. We like lists because we don’t want to die.
Subsequent discussion revealed that the last line; 'We like lists because we don't want to die', might look good on a Tee Shirt.
Not long after, a list appeared:
"We like lists because we don’t want to die." t-shirt:
In a nice refinement, @EB suggested that the Tee Shirt be produced with the list printed on it, a bit like tour dates.
So there you go. If the list gets up to 10 names, I will put the shirt into production.
As I've never done this before, I can't give an accurate cost at this stage. I will cover the 'set-up' costs, so whatever it is, I will only charge the cost of the T.

Any interest?
