Here's a dilemma. My folks are looking to pick me up a nice watch for my 40th bday but they've only got limited cash to spend. They've said up to £300 but I really don't want to go that high.
Now I like those old beat-up automatic dress/dive watches, and I can see a load of old Seamasters / Cosmics / Junghans on ebay for around the right money.
Trouble is my folks don't really do ebay and I'd be worried they might bid on something that's non original or quartz or what have you.
So I'm thinking, are there any trustworthy shops around London or Essex which deal with the more beat-up end of prestige watches and don't cost the earth?
EDIT: or do any of YOU fine folks have something for sale that fits the (Max) bill?
