  • ^^ I didn't say 'as long as it's all sorted, it's OK' - I just said there's a big difference between someone who makes a mistake then sorts it out (at best) compared to someone who is an unapologetic nobend or a scammer (at worst). And that I'd rather wait til I know which it is before spouting off and publicly shaming - which only seems fair to me.

If you got a cockroach in your lasagne, would you immediately get your phone out and rush to shame them on TripAdvisor? Or tell the waiter and see what they do to make it right, first.

Not sure if that comment was aimed at me but it's not really accurate if it is - I never asked anyone to get behind me, I wasn't rounding up a posse, I just asked for advice.

Not specifically, no. And regardless of anyone else's opinion, ultimately it's your choice.

What I am driving at, is that "prevention is better than cure": great if something gets sorted, but better if it doesn't go wrong in the first place.

It's only my opinion, but I see a moral obligation to share information about "bad traders", where as others are happy just to get a remedy.

I think most people would be pretty pissed off if, after a trade went sour, they learned that the seller was known to have a poor record.
