Which was pretty much my experience after trying coffee from one at the weekend. Tempted to get one though as it's pretty faff free for having a coffee before leaving for work (I use an Aeropress most other times).
Are all the machines pretty similar ? Does this seem ok for £70ish ?

Trying to work out how to change my parents habits, they've had a nespresso for years now and swear by it, I think the coffee it makes is fine but unremarkable. My pa used to have an Elektra but found it an inconsistent faff. Recommendations for a simple espresso machine that'll break the nespresso habit? They like nice coffee but probably not after a new hobby so weighing/dialling in etc probably isn't their bag...
