Been watching that for ages, bloody love it.
I'd quite like to do an engine swap myself at some point but insurance would be an absolute nightmare at my age. A turbo'd Yamaha r1 engine in the front would be off the hook and not too hard to execute, even manage mechanical reverse gear with the Promotive gearbox.

Wait a few years before doing this tho, my insurance is the same price now (23) on a 2.5 turbo BMW as it was on a 1.1 litre golf when I was 17.
Much excite for ya project. Many rust tho ;)
