I was wondering whether anyone would know how much one of my lenses is worth. I'm thinking of selling a Leica Summericon 35 f2. eBay prices range vastly from 500 to a grand. Mine's basically mint, one owner before me since new. Only considering it at the moment

Really like that set, nicely lit and composed.

Thanks! I was pleasantly surprised!

Just looked it up, truly is bonkers. Might have to get one!
Where'd you take those shots btw?

• #11312
also I somehow fixed my ricoh gr1v by taking it apart, randomly poking bits with a screwdriver, and hitting it on a desk
-
• #11313
I have done the exact same with two of mine. Odd little beasts.

It's under Windsor town centre.
I bought it for the single-handed operation/hand strap - thought it would make a good adventure camera, plus it was so cheap (99p) that I won't cry if I trash it
The waist-level finder came in handy for the above shots saves you having to press your face against a dustbin lid when improvising a tripod.
verdict: bulky but good -

Well, by strange coincidence, there was one sat on a market table on Brixton Station Road just now! Gave the guy £5 for it, and there's some Kodachrome loaded in it that I'll need to finish, but looking forward to playing with it this weekend.
Can't quite believe it, never seen anything like it before and then bam!, there's one readily available.

Someone else has started a roll in a camera you bought? A friend of mine had that, he wound it back to the beginning and shot over it, came out very cool. You have to be careful not to wind it all the way in though

Wicked - I look forward to seeing the results.

I found a roll of Gold 100 in an ebay rangefinder - I've been too scared to send it off for processing in case it's embarrassing or illegal!
This is the perfect solution! If I set the iso to 400 & re-shoot the roll
Thanks -
• #11320
Yeah, there was a roll already in there. I've done double exposure projects before, they're certainly fun, but have to say that my curiosity gets the better of me oftentimes and will probs just stack some up on the end of the roll. I love found shots, you get that window into someone else's life. Pretty fascinating.

Why rate it at 400?
Rated at 100 it's one stop over on doubled-up frames - suitable for expired film.
-
• #11322
^ OK, thanks for the tip - I'd just assumed that by double exposing I'd risk completely washing out everything. I shall have to look into this (and improvise a tool extracting the end of the film from the canister)
-
• #11323
Not one stop over, no.

would love to hear if / how you succeed in doing this,
was always too cheap to buy one of these tools, and too dumb to figure out a mac guyver-way of solving this problem! -
