what do you drive?!
more like £100 when you factor in a night in a holiday inn to stay in the night before, still good value for money vs time saved, but at least be realistic!

The V is a good experience though. Bit daft to think of a strip of tarmac as legendary, but it is super fast.

Good day on the E2/10 is good enough.

• #11805
the record seems to agree, by 20 seconds!

I set my pb that day too.
Pretty cool memory.

Anyone feeling undergeared?
-
• #11808
I think I should be OK, but the price is pretty attractive next to ~£300 for my composite track version. Looking at the difference in tooth shape, I conclude that either I've made a terrible blunder or BikinGreen have favoured cheap production over quiet operation.

It does kinda resemble a blunt circular saw blade and of course yours get extra points for carbon.
The problem with looking for decent parts of eBay is you have to trawl through so much crap and then when you find something some idiot is willing to pay almost retail for 2nd hand.

How many events on the F11 though? Not many I thought and pretty sure one conflicts with another event. V runs all year and since I don't care much for 10s could just hit a random date that fits my long stuff.

Huh? Why would I need to overnight? Bro do u even alarm clock? Bro do u even afternoon events?
It's 3.5hrs to Hull. First event in calendar is 9am. I've got up earlier for closer races.
-
• #11813
I'll try and ride that too.

Two fully open events, two association events for which you are too young, one association event for which you have too few wheels and one open with special conditions which might exclude you because you're in the wrong club.
18th June and 29th August are the dates for your diary, if you're around you might as well ride as its so close to home.

Isn't there a club event on the F11 almost every Wednesday evening of summer? Not sure if club events count for your record breaking, but they could be useful for people trying to get a qualifying time for a fast open.

Who can tell? There's no list of club events on the LNDC web site and nothing on the VC10 website calendar.

18th June and 29th August
Yeah, I knew there weren't many options for me.
Wait, what about this:
28-Mar-2016 VC 10 (150 solos + tandems) (Entries close 01/03/2016) F11/10 10.00 Miles NSSCIE Tan £10.00I don't have my handbook handy so don't know what the codes mean. IE= internet entry but NSSC?
-
• #11818
I'm only interested in Opens. Pretty sure it needs to be an Open event to claim club records.
-
• #11819
NSSC?
Non-Standard closing date for entries, Special Conditions. Enter by 1st March, you'll have to ask Greg what the special conditions are. That one didn't show up in my search on the CTT beta site.

Something like they'll prioritise women or there's a time cut-off maybe? I've added them to my diary and I'll see how I go. At least it's not technically a H course so it's 'fresh meat' for a course PB :)

Is £1250 the cheapest place to find a Zipp clincher disc?
bike24.de is close but no cigar:

They're cunts. Don't buy from them.
-
• #11823
£100 worth of cunt? I can take a lot of cunt for £100...
Wiggle are out of stock so I can't use a Plat discount with them even if I had one.
-
• #11824
I had an issue with a product from them before, wouldn't warranty it. I took them to task and they did in the end. But were utter cunts about it.
No customer service. And I'd bet they don't have that product in stock, would need to order it.
-
• #11825
Says 'In Stock'.
If it takes more than x days to arrive I can just kill the transaction on my credit card, no?
I'd say 50-60 seconds faster.
Multiple trips to the F11 would probably get you a faster time than one trip to Hull though, unless you got lucky.
