Just finished, 1996 GT avalanche. Total costs are about 100 euros, 60 for the bike, 20 for the conversion and 20 for cables / new brake blocks. Bought a tensioner but didn't need it in the end as my chain was tight enough without it. Next upgrade are some slicks, big flat pedals, shorter stem and riser bars because it's a bit too small.
