Tidy, I agree with maybe adding a splash of red if you want some colour
-
• #1403
the da ones just a very dark gray
The Dura ace rings are 'Midnight Blue' so they're not black at all

Having a bit of trouble with my new BB, Shimano Dura Ace BB 7700 fitting it into my nagasawa. It the bb won't thread onto anything. Its as if the bb is too big for the shell? Sorry if I am being stupid, I haven't ever used one of these BB's before :/

I wouldnt touch it anymore. Steel is very brittle at room temperature. LBS

thanks but i have both already too. looking for a 52t. :)

it says 36x24 meaning italian thread which is for 70mm shell. 1.37x24 is english threading and for 68mm shell.
so you need to get a different bb. or maybe only cups will suffice.

Ah okay. The bb is the octalink thingy. I hate them. So my BB is italian threaded.... So if I get an English Threaded Octalink BB it will all be good. Thats alright then ill be selling this set with two BB's when I sell so gives the next user more scope on the frame choice. That is if I sell
Thanks @rodolfo for the obvious explanation (I don't know much about bb's) :?

i wish those posts and cranks weren't so prone to breaking

Yeah, but I just find the Zens a bit ugly. The DA ring is about right IMO, would look weird any glossier/blacker.
Wasn't thinking red but where would it go anyway. I do envy those colourful frames that have more than one saddle/grip colour choice.
Anyways, I was just trying to pump up the rear tire (Dunlop Valve) using the presta pump bit - I was told this would work. I had tried before but it never went above 60 PSI; I thought I'd give it another go before I got an adaptor. IT was going well, I got it to around 100 PSI, then when I took off the pump head and the valve bit shot out such that now I just have the threaded section of the valve attached to the tire.
Has this happened to anyone before, is that the tire done for?

On my kalavinka BB shell there is the date printed on it. The japanese format is yy/mm/dd, hence the 10/05/27 shows it was made in 2010. Possibly helpful.

Yeah, I just don't really have the time with uni work currently, and if I did find the time to start doing some track stuff it would probably not be very often. I'd prefer to have a single track frame (Neil) and change the parts for what I need it for

Why does this slope to the front? Fork too short or deliberate design (as perhaps for the rider mentioned)?

Got the last few NJS bits of mine for sale if anyone's interested.
Samson frame/forks and bars/stem.

So I have now upgraded my cranks and seat post.
Post ring and cranks are Shimano olympic. Very pleased with this build, shame the post writing is fading but oh well :)
Thanks @BigH @NorthLondonLight and @tj
Cranks are long, but they do the job.

Maybe just upgrade the tyres? Otherwise looking classy
needs black zen. then sell me the da ring..;)
in all seriousness though, the zen are real black, the da ones just a very dark gray hence my comment.
i think monochrome suits it well. or maybe a splash of red relating to the decals on the rims and seatstaysticker?
