  • Haha, I was reading into that a bit, and it was suggested the problems aren't so prevalent with this one. We shall see, but if there are any problems it'll get warrantied!

  • There's a big thread about them on Singletrack. I expect any issues would have come up there by now.

    Cannondale Trigger? Bargain

  • Cool, thanks @BareNecessities!

  • The more interesting issue, aside from the wave washer thing, is what happens when Cannondale drop the pullshock design - like Scott Genius owners, long term, you get stuck with a bike that can't really be serviced properly and economically.

For that reason I would view the Jekylls and Triggers as bikes to utterly thrash for a couple of years then bin, depending on part availability.

  • damn, i had been eyeing up the Scott Genius plus

  • They aren't Pullshock, now though are they?

It was Denke (sp?) who was the pullshock guy, who left Scott, worked with Dale (also did the newer Synapse) and now does stuff for Specialised.

  • Anyone interested In any of this (apart from the SiSL arms and Spidering) before it goes to main threads / eBay?

  • Black bolts pls.

  • Coming soon to a Saeco RAAD12:

  • buy Si arms and get black bolts FREE!!

  • Rad as fuxk!

  • @Dick What length are Si arms? Does anyone know if the 5 bolt spider works with new sram arms? If so could be interested in that also.

  • Now I know why the gold rings... maybe should update the potato RAAD

  • @dick wait you have 3 sets? which are going on your caad? im so confused. i need 175mm tbf + 109mm spindle

  • Si arms are 172.5mm

Have no idea about the spider, but my guess is that a Hollowgram spider won't work with a SRAM arm - I briefly remember the engagement tooth pattern from some X1 cranks I had, so I understand where your coming from, but the SRAM spiders slot on and have three screws to keep them on rather than having a Lockring

  • Ah I see, after 175 really. :(

  • No mate, sorry, little confusing - I have two sets - the SiSL are going on the CAAD leaving the following spare:

    Si 172.5mm Arms (Brand New)
    110BCD Spider (Brand New)
130BCD Spider X 2 (one new one used)
    130BCD Aero Spider (Brand New)
    104mm SiSL Spindle
Green bearing covers and crank bolts
Rotor NoQ 110mm 52x36 rings (Brand New)
FSA Supertype 50/34 Chainrings (Brand New)
    FSA Supertype 53/39 Chainrings

Open to sensible offers on any combo of the above!

  • Unless you are a complete anatomical freak you won't notice 2.5mm

  • Are you going to use the 109mm spindle with the SiSL cranks?

    There be dragons

  • I am confuse?

Yes, seems to be just fiiiine?

    Am I doing something wrong?

  • I like dragons....

  • And shorter cranks are better

  • Well, maybe. The SL cranks came with the 104mm axle. The new SI cranks use the 109mm and have a couple of extra spacers. There's a compatibility chart somewhere...

  • So should the 104mm axle slot straight into BB30 bearings without all the stupid spacers?
