Thanks. I think I like it so much because it reminds me so much of one of my earliest bikes:
God I loved that thing. But then I was big enough for a 20" BMX and never went back.

does this happen to be a giant custom super lite?
i think i have the same frame, great beater.
-
• #13334
Yes.If i remember correctly.a friend found it at the local dump.i added parts and stickered it and made it my do-all-beater.

those giants are quite light and decent frames, if intact. Im planning on building a randonneur with mine.... panniers, decent tyres, gears etc.
drop some money in yours, you won't regret it ;-)

Don't get the advantage of a bar that weighs almost a kilo and has less adjustment than a two parter.
-
• #13341
thats why they are on the beater.
-
• #13342
its the last set bruce gordon had laying around in his petaluma shop.
-
• #13343
because they cost so much?
-
• #13344
u right.i got carried away a lil bit....
but the 50$ i payed seems a ok deal compared to buying them from rivendell for 160$.
still a lot of cash for a beater. -
• #13345
a better argument at that price
