Saw a novel bit of cheating at Reading on Saturday. We had a penalty, ball was on the spot with the player waiting to take it whilst the shit ref attempted to sort the players out and get on with the game. Robson-Kanu knocked the ball off the penalty spot and and started kicking lumps out of the penalty spot to dig up a divot there.

And your player didn't put the ball back in the spot exactly how he wanted it?

aren't you #stillhigh from Chelsea winning the Champions League way back when?
We're doing well, no predictions, no gloating, just want to see it continue, equally looking forward to, and dreading the run in to, the end of the season...

disappointed in that, they talk very little about Spurs, more about City's failings and Kompany being a great leader...

He probably saw this recently-missed Bundesliga pen:

I remember Torres doing something similar for Liverpool a few years ago. Can't remember the outcome - I assume Robson-Kanu's attempt worked given the scoreline.

If a) the ref had shown some balls and booked a few of your players beforehand, and/or b) Gray hadn't dived outrageously for the pen, HRK probably wouldn't have felt the need to stoop to Burnley's level. Barton allegedley fighting in the tunnel at HT as well.

I didn't see any of that on MOTD...

Try to imagine how high you'll be if you win the league this season, then remember that was us last summer. Thanks for the reminder about the CL though, it's been such a long time I'd forgotten.

Cruyff's was better... and how is Lenny not offside when Suarez scores?
After Suarez strikes the ball it's never within playing distance of Messi, Messi makes no attempt to play the ball, nor is he obscuring the ball from the keeper, so he can't be offside within the current interpretation of the rules.
But it's complicated because of FIFA/UEFA adding misleading "clarifications" on top of a badly worded law: http://www.law-11.com/untitled/confusion-caused-by-uefa-ifab-not-agreeing-on-law-11

Ronaldo would never be allowed to score that goal.
Nor would J Terry. -

It worked, he missed the penalty. Although I'm not convinced it was a penalty other than in the Jamie Vardy sense of run at them and leave your leg trailing (although that's worked for Vardy for years).
I thought the ref was crap for both teams. A lot of teams, Reading included, unsurprisingly target Barton in the hope that he'll get himself sent off. Hector went through the back of him a few times. He seems to have calmed down but you're still waiting for it to happen at some point.

LOl the same as me then plus a few Arsenal games and unfortunately one corporate prawn sandwich munching visit to the Bridge. At least I managed to avoid the real morons on that occasion though.

We'll get done over at Fiorentina and be fooked for Palace. Its all very well raising the fitness of the Spurs team - and you can see a much fitter team out there - but fatigue will creep in and we'll slip up at games we should be nailing.

Yeah, I've been to 3 Arsenal games (Liverpool, Dortmund & Bournemouth), and 3 Spurs games (Liverpool, Alaves, Aalborg), along with a Leyton game
Villa , wolves, Birmingham, Walsall..... What's happening to our local derbies?
Also why are there masses of empty seats behind the goal at man city?
