Any chance of some pics of yours? I'm thinking the older version might be the winner as it has phono...

You will need the earlier versions of the Audiolab amp, google suggests 8000A has the Phono input. The newer 8000S has no phono.

I forgot to mention that the power indicator light stopped working very soon after I got it, but it didn't bother me so I've not done anything about it. The motorised volume and mode knobs make very satisfying whirring noises when operated from the remote. All very solid and chunky, and noticeably more oomph than my old NAD amp.
