  • Debris in the carcass, what are you talking about Ed?

I don't believe that someone couldn't notice the difference between a pair of Zaffiros and Open Corsa CXs

  • Debris in the carcass, what are you talking about Ed?

Like tiny bit of glass, flint, pebble stick in the tyres that you only realised after you got punctured or checked the tyres.

  • How is that going to affect how the bike feels?

  • None, making a point whether people can tell the difference.

  • Been lurking / posting on MTBR recently. Starting to wonder what the scale of the lefty wave washer fiasco actually is. Beyond the numerous wave washer failure posts, there are several reports of riders having their Leftys back from service only to fail again immediately or after ten or so hours riding.

  • Is there any way to keep a warranty on a frame if you strip/repaint it? Would love to do something similar to the SS on the last page but too scared of hauling my 90kg arse around on an expensive warranty-less frame.

  • In better news my Pikes were utterly amaze at BPW this weekend

    Buttah!

  • Is there any way to keep a warranty on a frame if you strip/repaint it?

Ask CSG, but I'd put good money on 1000 tonnes of nope.

  • my Pikes were utterly amaze at BPW this weekend

They did feel spectacularly plush when I conducted my carparkpushâ„¢ test on them.

  • I ran them on the trail setting for the blue runs - that was interesting, first time I've deviated from the descend mode or whatever they call the full open setting. Was good -a much more bitey front end in the berms, but still ate up some big - for me that is - hits.

  • Oh I would belive I would notice the difference. But tbh they are not bad tyres and I think they ride fine...

Maybe when better weather comes along coupled with a nicer wheelset I will purchase the clement stradas

  • Stradas don't really fit into my nice tyre category.

  • I agree, they're simply an average tyres that felt decent but not plushly.

They're to be avoided due to massive sidewalk making it more prone to cut, especially on wide rims.

  • Back in the fold:

  • Will be interesting to see how you get on with that. On the face of it, rad.

  • @Howard yeah looking forward to throwing it down some hills. Just as soon as I've swapped out the inordinately short dropper post for one that suits my leg length.

  • What made you buy it over the Habit?

Also - what size is that? Quite the drop from the saddle to the stem.

  • when I saw the box on gram I thought CAAD .. this is way better !

  • @Howard it's an 18.5 - the saddle to stem is feels fine but need a slight but more for my weird long legs!

@amey hah! Just in time for the muddy season. Fortunately I live with a dude capable of fixing all of the things that will likely go wrong with it..

  • death2roadies

  • @howard oh, and I got this over the Habit simply because of the major bargain I got it for from an importer.

  • Better check he has one of these then...
