Did you bikepack, or do it in one?
-

As far as Brighton, two afternoons. Bivvi'd.
Don't know what this 'bikepack' thing is. Sounds like an excuse to buy stuff.. ;)
-
• #180
Ha! It is, or you can bodge it, like I do!
It's bivvying though, with a posh frock on!I'd be keen to do this if my rota permits :0)

Doing the end to end on Saturday - weather's been good, and the should be dry out.
Planning to do it from Eastbourne -> Winchester as the wind seems to be blowing that way, any good reason not to?

How was it?
I would just like to say I now have a bike with tubeless tyres and plenty of sealant, therefore I will be trying this again this year.
Anyone else who fancies it let me know.

Might be up for another go. When were you thinking?

This is on my 'to do' list....bikepacking it?
-
• #185
With an overnight stay?

Might be up for another go. When were you thinking?
I think the time of year we picked last time - maybe slightly earlier for reduced temps?

End-to-end in a day would be the plan, no camping or stopping.

We didn't end up doing the whole thing, ended up bailing out at Brighton, a ridiculous number of punctures really slowed us down, would def. recommend using tubeless.
-
• #189
I'm also planning on doing this at some point this year, so would be keen on joining (depending on dates etc) if that's ok. Definitely up for doing it in a day.

That sounds familiar, we bailed at Chichester for exactly that reason.
-
• #191
Potentially in either way, depending on rota of course.....as always!
-
• #192
Id be up for this
-
• #193
You can come if you test your fenix 3 for me.
-
• #194
I want to.
How ridiculous would ss be?
I've done the pilgrims on one gear... -
• #195
It'd be doable, however this route is very definitely not flat - can someone grab the elevation profile and post it?
-
• #197
There was a stretch of about 500m in which we had probably 4 punctures between us, snake bites all over the place.
We did it with 32c cx tyres, and would recommend going bigger if you can, just makes the descents a bit more fun.

So it's technically do-able then.
