whatever's good value. I guess £100-200 range.
bit bewildered by lots that look similar, so just filtering according to noise, energy efficiency, suction ratings etc. this Samsung is currently winning - http://www.argos.co.uk/beta/static/Product/partNumber/3524868.htm#pdpFullDesc

I'd not heard of Samsung for vacuums, so if Which thinks it's a decent brand I'm leaning for that.

ta for these. unfortunately Samsungs all seem to be last year's range and can't get hold of them (or similar). might go for a Bosch instead. have reached vacuum cleaner purchase research capacity for the day.
