looks good on flat snow / water, what about actual terrain?

Skid steer though - wonder how many miles to the tyre (and what the replacement costs are!!!!!!!!!!)
-
• #26629
So, you are concerned about whether the running cost will make it an impractical vehicle choice.
Hmmmm.

Surprised about Chris Harris / Top Gear, guess you can't blame the guy for wanting to take that next step. The brand's been toxified over the last few years, maybe he sees this reboot as a chance to make it into a decent respectable car show, somewhere between the 90s and the 00s versions.

I'm surprised about anybody thinking Eddie Fucking Jordan makes a good TV presenter.
-
• #26632
Maybe he'll do one of his godawful poems in each episode.

I think the new Top Gear lineup sounds quite promising. I might start watching it again. I met Joey at a Classic Porsche thing in Essex a couple of years ago, he's properly into motor cars. Evans clearly is. Schmidt might be a bit annoying tho. At the very least I'm interested in finding out what it's like.

• #26635
At least Schmidt can drive.
Neither Larry, Moe or Curly could.

Too many presenters. And I can't stand the ginge, no matter how into cars he might be. Should cap it at Harris, Joey and Ze German.

I do have a morbid curiosity in the New Top gear.
I think the last format became very boring as it was difficult to discern different episodes and different series' and Clarkson was such a boor.
-
• #26638
Clarkson is a massive twat. I hope the new format is less wasteful, i.e. smashing up useful cars and less idiot driver centric, i.e. less idiotic segments about cycling for example. Top Gear has such a massive viewship and 'cultural capital' (sorry!) it could be such a force for good on the roads of the UK.

These things are ace. 5 gears. #ProjectCars
Old man had one too. 😀

• #26640
But people watched it.
-
• #26641
I watched it! I love cars, I quite like May and even Hammond. I just didn't regurgitate whatever pish Clarkson spouted like a lot of people I have met.

Watched a couple of eps of Clarksons Car Years yesterday, still enjoy that stuff, got a certain amount of affection for him when he's not being a total blowhard, watching him hooning around in an Escort Cossie makes me want to go and drive cars in a way a lot of modern motoring journos don't

• #26643
I agree. Clarkson used to be quite good, before he became a massively exaggerated racist parody of himself.

What car is this....

Triumph GT6? Some form of Dino coupe?

Got myself a 1973 Chevy Nova. Pedal power in the week. V8 at the weeKend. And it's roomy enough to fit 2 bikes in if I need to.

Barmy bit of kit.
