What's it like to live in Brixton / Brixton Borders

Was meant to be in there last night, the comment on the website put me off----

"Shabby chic furnishings, vintage wallpapers and quirky trinkets"

Grabbing a pint central if you need some fuel on the way.

Let me know what it's like. Looks a bit bland from outside, but was a big fan of the Bowls Club when we were in Balham.
