Yesterday I built up the frameset. Partly with bits that are staying on the bike (wheels, cranks, seatpost, headset, tires) and partly with bits that I threw on to get a feeling for what they would look like (saddle, stem, handlebar).
With everything in place, the size appears to be fine for me. It isn't particularly aerodynamic, but it is all the more comfortable.
I am new to building up track bikes, so it wasn't a exactly a straightforward build. The chain is making a clicking sound when the cranks are turning. I currently have a Chorus 102mm BB fitted whereas the Miche crankset requires a 106mm. As such I am guessing I need to find the right width BB. The rear wheel nuts are one piece, as supposed to the front ones, which means they damage the paint big time when I tighten them up. Need to find replacements for those as well. I haven't figured out what the right chain tension is on a track bike, so I need to read up on that.
