  • You're probably right. I've done it a few times. Although my thinking was more if I got stuck at work again where a bump start isn't feasible and there are a million other bikes parked.

    So basically we're saying don't bother with anything.

  • I tend to carry any and every tool I might need for anything up to a major service - admittedly for 60 year old mopeds - the only thing I've actually used out on the road has been a plug spanner (plug whiskers - an issue with small old 2 strokes) and even then it's only once every three or four years when I get caught out. I would have thought that most tools are for servicing - something to be done at home - but if you must carry tools I'd add a plug spanner, adjustable spanner, and tire levers to your list - they can be carried in the space your jump leads might otherwise occupy.

    tl;dr correct - don't bother with anything else if you've got a phone.

    Bike looks pretty light.
