Ashima rotors (lightest I could find at 66g)
Hope you got the black ones.

• #3403
Please, tell me where I can find these black ones.....?

• #3405
They're nice rotors. I've got them on my Straggler, despite the fact it's a tank.
Quietest I've ever owned too.

Just got my caadx 105 back from a full service, feels like an absolute dream.
Best bike I've ever owned in terms of how comfortable and practical it is. -

Ok, I need black rotors
I got these ones, if they ever show up from Taiwan...

And not very good looking...

• #3411
Dammit's just trying to make his bikes seem lighter by adding weight to yours.
-
• #3412
I'll be using those (well, the IS version) on my new bike.

Just ordered 160 X 140 black Ashima's - solves the post mount adapter problem aswell.
Adds 40g though 😞 -

You don't really need all six of those heavy bolts....

have to say i love that caad10 disc. cheap too, extremely tempting. how good are those calipers? they pull the same as road levers?
-
• #3418
I'll let you know - a mate of mine just finished a similar build with the same frame, only DA9000 and TRP Spyre, he's said they're very good
-
• #3419
Do you mean traditional road calipers? It's a shame it's not drilled for those. I was tempted to get the frame and drill it so I could run either but I'm scared it'll do bad things to the integrity.
-
• #3420
Yeah, you wouldn't buy this fame if you were looking to use traditional road calipers.
A friend has a 52CM CAAD10 Black Inc (non-disc version) that may be for sale if anyone is interested.

this is gunna be sick
what tyres?
-
• #3423
Not quite decided yet......
I have 25mm GP4Seasons atm, but just can't help but think they're a bit, well, boring....
...what would you suggest oh wise one?
-
• #3424
Getting there - no bars or gold rings though.
This is much better, thanks for the work.
Imagine the above with some classic drops and some speedplays and we're nearly there.

What’s up Cannondale thread. So, these Caads keep looking at me. I fancy something light (and cheap), to take to the mountains and to possibly do some crits at Leigh valley. I currently ride a condor Acciaio with Centaur which I like a lot, I think it weighs around 9KG – I weigh around 70, but should get down to 66kg for ‘the season’
I’m kind of caught between two build options I could get an off the peg Caad 12 with either 105 or Ultegra. But what I seem to fancy more is a second hand Caad 10 built up with Centaur, I think I can do this for £500ish. I would then buy these probikekit.co.uk/bicycle-wheeÂls/rwc-50-carbon-clincherwheelset/11200Â079.html?variation=11200081
With the Caad12 I would need to buy wheels and this option has the added bonus of being able to swap wheels between the two bikes. The draw back is that I’m stuck with Campag 10 speed which is being discontinued. But I guess if I decide to go 11 speed it would be easy enough to run the carbon wheel with a campag cassette on Shimano/. I should also add that I don’t particularly like the idea of having campag and one bike and shimano on the other, what I like about 10 speed centaur is that campag feature of being able to shift multiple gears.
Is anyone on here running a 52 caad or similarly geo’d dale with 120-140mm stem? Can I have a go?
The only swap out I've made is the mechanical pull calipers, disc wheels and rotors, and the frame obviously. Actually relatively painless.
Build list looks something like:
BlackInc Frame
Cx77 Cable Pull Calipers
Ultegra ST-6800 shifters
Ultegra RD - 6800 rear mech
Ultegra FD - 6800 front mech
Ritchey Superlogic stem, bars, post
Ashima rotors (lightest I could find at 66g)
Selle Italia SLR Ti saddle
Look keo blade Ti pedals
Wheelset is CKR45 x DTSwiss440 (Aksium disc as placeholder/commute)
Can't think of anything else....
Will probably need post mount 140-> 160mm calipers adapters as I'm going to run 160mm front and rear.
