Sort of, but It really isn't at all. The GMT hand moves round with the hour hand so you're not trying to read a 24hour dial (which I do find complicated). When you're not travelling it also parks invisibly under the normal hand. You do get a 24 hour subdial at the top if you're really confused about where you are in the world and need to know if it's day or night back home!
