  • I sent off some returns to Rapha and some to Paul Smith on the same day.

The refund from Paul Smith arrived twelve days ago - still nothing from Rapha. Customer service is definitely getting worse.

  • You're not allowed to say that either.

  • Sorry.

  • my exchange was in their system on 22nd of january and they received the goods on 26th. Emailed on 2nd and again today but nothing yet.

  • I don't want to piss on your bonfire, but you're going to have to accept that customer service levels will always be slightly slower during busy periods.

Besides, comparing an operation the size of Paul Smith with Rapha is nonsensical. Rapha's still a relatively young organisation.

  • This is true, I'm not at the angry e-mail stage just yet as I do understand the differences but for any organisation, I feel that a week should be enough time to deal with refunds/exchanges etc.

When it starts to get on for two weeks, it's just not good service.

  • I wonder how much interest can be made by holding on to refunds for 3 weeks?

  • They've hired additional temp staff to cover the post-sale return rush, but guess they underestimate the amount of fatties who thought they could squeeze into a size too small

  • just got a reply. They are currently 2 weeks late on exchanges

  • The shame. :(

  • Of being a fatty.

  • new classic jersey revealed tomorrow according to their ig

feeling the new light blue pro rain cape but would worry it'd stain up pretty bad, pretty quickly riding down mucky country roads

  • Just buy a new one if the old one gets dirty.

  • maybe they need to introduce washing service

  • Not a vast amount, I imagine.

  • What's the circumference of your head?

  • From the training jersey blurb...

    Conditions (approximation)

    15–25 ΒΊC / 60–80 ΒΊF
    Hill repeats
    Summer training
    2 – 5 hour chain gangs
    Relaxed social spins

5 hour chain gang is doing it wrong, surely?

  • Anyone using the Pro Team Rain Gilet? I can't decide between that and the classic/standard one.
I wonder if its going to be too warm for anything but cold/wet days.

  • Classic Jersey II just landed, wonder how it measures up to the training jersey.

  • Totally different fabric to the training jersey.

  • exactly what I mean

  • Yup - brilliant piece of kit - great for layering over a long sleeve training jersey if conditions are changeable.
Can get a little sweaty if worn throughout ride, but good for throwing on/off when needed.

  • I got the Data version, love it. I think that and the lightweight PT Gilet make a great combo.

The standard one is more breathable as it has a mesh panel on the back, and would be more packable too as the fabric isn't as stiff.

The question you need to ask is what is it for? If it is to keep you dry if you get caught out in the rain, or to take the chill off?

  • What is your insinuation here please....?
