What windspeeds do people consider are unsafe for cycling?
-
• #74130
The current 40mpg gusts are about my limit.
-
• #74131
1000mph, definitely.
-
• #74132
Depends on the direction
-
• #74133
It's the smell that makes it unsafe.
-
• #74134
40 is a pain on the high sided cargo bike.

Where would you go to hire a people carrier/mini bus for a week?
We are going away for 7 nights with 4 adults and two kids.
I have had a look on Enterprise which is coming up with £440 for 7days in a Seat Alhambra, but I feel like it might be missing a trick somewhere.

...hope hub... and the end cap/reducers pass through the bearings...
This is the difference to your 9mm setup idea. You have the bearings sitting on the thru axle directly like the hope 20mm (which is stronger). But yes try it, Im interested in hearing if it works!

Can't be too much worse than the rear where I've filed nearly an inch from the track ends so I can use the gear I want and slam dat wheel for a shorter wheelbase.

40 mpg gusts in my case...I ended up walking.
It's fine on a share cycle lane where blown about a bit doesn't get you crushed under the wheels of something, road not so much ;)

I took the sensible/cowards option of the Brompton and trains.
-
• #74146
What are the 40 MPG that people are measuring these windy gusts in?
-
• #74147
Sounds like more of a drinking problem than wind speed.
-
• #74148
Miles per gust.

I've trawled the web and can't find a definitive answer, does anyone know off the top of their head what mounting system this bar bag would take? (Tilt head 90 degrees anti-clockwise for a more accurate representation)

I appear to have lost that plastic spacer that goes between the bolts that tighten a non-driveside hollowtech crank to the axle. What does it do? Do I need it?
:)
