61cm Beater/Pub single speed, Racing Green - SOLD

Posted on
  • Yes taller chaps, this could be your beater / pub bike / low rent commuter for the winter & beyond! Was £60 now SOLD

Never did discover the identity of the frame, but found an 80s Centurion that looked v similar, so I'm guessing at 80s Japanese steel. Dual mudguard eyes at the rear for guards/rack. Lots of clearance for guards. Not light, but not total gas pipe. Measurements:

    Seat tube: 61cm CTC
    Top tube: 57cm CTC

    • Wheels are 27", front hub is a large flange Shimano, rear is a freewheel Maillard
    • 48t crank with a 17t single speed freewheel
    • Campagnolo Gran Sport headset (totally unnecessary, but it came with a black one, which looked awful and I had it spare..)
    • Front brake is noname, but the rear is a decent dual pivot Acor- you could swap em over with the right bolts
    • new KMC chain
    • cables are ish new
    • tyres are pretty well aged, you might want to replace
    • rest of the components are pretty non descript, plenty of patina on he El cheapo bars

Still has the gear cable stop at the back if you wanted to convert it back to gears, but would need a bottom bracket.

    Now SOLD

  • Looks like a most excellent bargain for someone!

  • Cheers! Not so much interest, to be honest... I guess not many people are buying complete bikes over the winter...!

  • Still for sale?

  • Yup, had a few PMs, but still available at the moment.

  • No reply from @Fixada or @Bee_Rudd so this is still for sale.

  • Price drop bump.

  • Now £50

  • DIBSpmwhatamidoing.

  • UnDibs. Great value but I'm just not tall enough for it (Engineering101 is 6ft2 and that saddle be slammed like my stem).
