    Or do you mean that the smaller rotors should have more chance at warping due to heating up quicker than larger rotor?

    I usually worries about smaller rotors heating up the pads/calipers to the point of losing power on a road bike, rather than the concern of warping the rotor as @skinny testified on his long alpine gravel descent.

  • Bam, Yeah, smaller rotors more likely to warp. I think I misunderstood what you meant.
    Was it during his Transcontinental that @skinny lose power?
    Would be interesting to see how really effective the finned pads are on 140 mm rotors.

  • Yeah. Really long gravel descent then into fast technical descent. Brake fluid over heated and lost all power in front braks. No warning.
    Tried to talk to shimano, couldn't give a fuck.

    Would and do still ride disc. Was a freak thing.
