Cheers, that sounds slightly fiddly/annoying, a switch would make sense, my mate is a electrician I might see if he can suggest a good discreet solution. It would be cheaper to get a the USB integrated thing too I guess.
Ordered a werk so will get my mate to take a look and if too much bother will return it.
USB werk is pretty good, but I find I have to disconnect it entirely to stop it causing my Supernova front light to dim every few minutes. Obviously when you're charging and running a light simultaneously you wouldn't expect the light to be bright, but even when you're not charging anything off the USB it still seems to draw power from the light, though not constantly (I presume this is the cache battery topping itself up).
It's easy enough to work round - on long audaxes I just disconnected it from the wire that connects down to the hub overnight, but it's an extra bit of fiddling when you're sleep deprived. I keep meaning to look into adding some sort of inline switch in the cable to get round this, but if I was shopping again I'd probably lean towards getting the b&m light with the usb built in and taking a risk on durability.
