I bought the standard crankset, then fitted a Fibrelyte single-ring, fitted another smaller Fibrelyte ring for the 24hr which died after 5hrs for some reason, swapped to spare bike while @scherrit fitted the original chainrings and derailler setup back. I've still got this setup now but I have another Fibrelyte ring that they sent out to see if I have the same self destruct issue. I might put the bigger carbon ring on for short races.

You are correct, but buying a chainset with the wrong chainrings grates....
I might just buy the chaining's and put them on my 6800 chainset and save myself £260....
