What time is it? Watches and horology

I'm considering a Seiko SKX.

I would prefer the bezel of the 009 if it was black/red but it's blue/red
I prefer the black dial of the 007
Is there a no-date version or do I have to get it modded for that?

It's not NATO, but sort of near NATO. It's from Daniel Wellington but I would NOT recommend it. The strap is expensive but bad quality. It has "rose gold" lugs etc. It's difficult to clean and I have Chinese NATO straps that are of better quality material. I got new straps coming in soon. Only problem I have with it now is that the entire inside of the watch got loose. Everything from the mechanism with the hands and the dial are now "floating" in there. I have to open it up when I have some time and find a way to repair it.

Anyone hoping to pick up a Rolex bargain on an EU trip, sorry folks. Rolex upped the EU pricing by 5% on the first (but strangely seem to have exempted the UK). Was thinking about collecting a Milgauss in Wempe in Franfurt Airport last night and found that they were now over UK retail...

That doesn't sound good... I've ordered another Vostok, but not a Komandirskie or Amphibia this time. :S

Bezels on skxs are easily swapped out.
I have a 009 with a green bezel now.

It was about a fiver off eBay (bezel insert)

I really like the model, but couldn't buy one(If I could afford it) due to dateless face, Omega/IWC have managed similar magnetic protection with a date window.

date windows are tacky, especially with the mongeye bubble

Recently moved house and new place has induction hob.

Chopping away and suddenly realised the Pelagos might not like the 7 odd amps of electromagnet coursing through the work top.

Suffice to say I took it off. I wonder if James Martin et al has succumb?

My mother passed away recently, thinking of buying this watch with the money she left me, rather than pissing it away or buying more motorbikes/cars/cycles.

It's pretty G, and you don't see them often. I am not a fan of the markers or second hand and much prefer the datejust and explorer derivatives. Each to his own :)

Milgauss is one of the rare Rolex that I actually like.
Agree with B&D about the green glass though, muchos tasty.
