I know there is some company that makes campa->shimano conversion pulleys. They convert the amount of cable pull for the desired derailleur.

With Athena shifters, both 11 speeds, I guess it must've worked for him (unless the cassette is not 11 speed), or he must've changed where the cable clamp on the derailleur.
