That's true! =) I've thought about it but somehow don't like the idea of a cable running along the top tube and there is something slightly odd about fixed+2ndbrake...

If there are cable guides for a rear brake I think it makes sense.

Fixed with a rear brake is better ime and aesthetically it's no different to a road bike - you've already got two brake levers.

Not a bad idea, but tbh I am more worried about finding long mudguards to keep my feet dry and bb safe (most probably will need replace 25 gators for 23 tyres before there is enough clearance). Fitting a second brake is not really a priority at this moment
