What have you made?

  • Kind of like current projects, but not bicycles.

    Post what you've been making.
    Paintings?
    Leathercraft?
    Woodwork?
    Sheds?
    Shoes?
    etc etc

  • I sculpted a little cock and balls out of blu tack during a meeting at work.

I really can't be fucked with this shadow cabinet job.

  • Great! Please post pictures to make this thread more interesting.

  • Once I built a railroad, I made it run
    Made it race against time
Once I built a railroad, now it's done
Brother, can you spare a dime?

  • If you haven't already seen it, there's some nice stuff on the craftspeople thread.

    Craftsmen/women (craftspeople, I suppose)

Also, some douchebag made a shed.

    Bike shed/workshop

  • Just over a week ago I made a complete fuck up of a job interview. I apparently came over as a misanthrope.

At least you didn't come over as a lycanthrope and kill them all.

    Small mercies...

  • The thread is evolving.

  • A disappointing pale blue flump of a thing. I call it 'Cameron's lament'

  • Maybe make the left one hang a little lower?

  • I've squidged it all up into a ball now :(

  • All art is ephemeral

  • My most recent project was making a set of panniers for the GF's christmas present. Pretty simple tote bag construction, with reinforcement on the back and bottom using a clipboard and an A4 file. Main body is Cordura, floating liner is nylon ripstop, outer pocket is just 300D PU polyester, all from profabrics.co.uk. Hardware was the hardest thing to source, I think the bottom clips came from Carradice and the hooks from Edingburgh cycle. Took about 3 days to complete, but well worth it.

  • I recently decided to get in touch with my vegetarian side and made a squash, chickpea and coconut curry.

    Soz, no photos because YUMSK!

  • I recently finished a mix-tape, except it wasn't on tape because I don't have a tape player, so really it was just playlist. I created it nonetheless.

  • They look great!

How did you stitch it together?

I've been meaning to have a go at making some cordura bags.

  • Is it available online?

We should all listen to it.

  • Just a standard home sewing machine. I broke 2 needles, but only when going through webbing, 2 layers of cordura and 2 layers of ripstop. I also glued the main seams to help with weather sealing.

  • Quite the Michelangelo.
