It's more that they fight on every level! I have a feeling it may have been laced with catnip by the manufacturer - there was also a mouse toy hanging from the top level which lasted <5mins.
Neither of them can be bothered to jump up it, they just climb with their claws out. Quite funny watching the younger one dealing with an unexpectedly large overhang when he gets to the platforms
