Came to a decision and choose to build up my 1994 Gios Compact Pro Evolution "period correct" in stead of giving it a modern finish:

Your right, as Gaston mentioned, some Maxisport professional time trial had the same specification.
I've update the build a bit, now with a silver 1R in 22mm insert:
Matching toe strap on 600 tricolor pedals
& pink bar tape

I don't think they'll bother you too much, depending on how you sit it?

Wonder if the edges of the "holes" will show after sanding. Might give it a go and consider re-leather as a plan B.

Thanks @Gaston
I like the Battaglin as well.
To me it would be porn with all blue bartape and other less 'golden' period correct saddle. I know (from experience) that San Marcos are super comfy, but I often find that they are a bit off on all 'silver' builds. The brass brackets are a bit offensive.. But as allways lovely quirky yet composed built
Thanks. Yes it is a dream come true. Just today, I was told that it is now a full time permanent position. So I might as well settle in. Thinking about getting my jig shipped over or start making a new one.
@WatSeFak thank you.
