  • So I've just somehow managed to cut my rear brake hose on my SRAM Rival 22 Hydraulic setup and am in need of a new hose. I've never had to do this before but I've heard that braided hose is stronger and possibly gives you a slightly stronger brake while weighing a ton more. It's also quite a bit more expensive than regular tubing, it seems. I courier around London all day and weight does matter and as I said, this is the first time that such a thing has happened so I'm wondering whether its worth the money to buy braided or just to go for a regular hose. Also, apparently Hope and Goodridge make good quality hoses of each type but is there any other brands I should be looking at?

Edit: Regular SRAM hose kit costs about £3 less than Goodbridge so seems like a no brainer.
