Anyone had the Kinesis Crosslight V3 Disc wheels and know what bearings are used? Need to replace the rear. Awaiting answer from kinesis.

How do you find zona tubing? How heavy is it?
I am thinking of going the same route, buying bespoke frame that is.
Road bike with clearance for bigger tyres, might as well make space for some cx tires too. Especially since cx forks usually have space for 40mm, makes no sense to build build end with 33mm clearance.
Something pretty similar to your bike, but with thru axle rear.
You said you would choose different tuning, wanting something faster...
Any advice?
What tubing, geometry advice etc... -

Still my favourite forum bike

Good allround tubeset. Never weighed the frame. Have it stripped down at the moment so might if i get hold of a scale.
Should probably improve my own strength and cardio before blaming the tubes. It's fast and light enough. Would just be a bonus if it was a bit tighter, and maybe built in life/spirit tubing. Had i ordered it today i had built it around the kinesis tracer 380mm fork with clearance for ~32mm tires.
Waiting for the oval Absoluteblack direct mount cx1 chainring to be released (today) before i built it up again. Also tires. Loved the compass but just found the Soma supple vitesse & Shikoro which seem nice as well.

ffs. Another 8 weeks wait for their 42t chainrings. Had to go with a 40t instead.

went for 44 x 11-36 on my zona-from-poland-all-road -bike. This is one of my favorites on lfgss

Built up for a test ride. Sunny and dry outside for the first time in months but no point in fitting expensive tires just yet.

The proportions of this frame are absolutely perfect. Personally I would have gone for top tube cable route, but other than that it is exactly like it should be imo. Nice work

A bit of an odd question but do you know how much top tube drop your frame has - it looks about 20/30mm?
-
• #315
That is just perfect.

This makes me want to sell my macho man and caad10 to get something like this that does everything

Thanks. Yes there are some things i would have changed had i ordered it today.

First ride today. Really like this setup, but love the chainring! It does make the pedal motion feel more even/smooth. Not a huge deal but enough to really improve the ride. Also the 40t should suffice. Could ride plenty fast on the small cogs without spinning out.

I run 44t/11-32t, I would feel prohibited by only 40t. Anything too steep for 44/32 I would shoulder and run instead :-)

Never growing tired (pun intended) of riding this biek.
Mounted some 32mm Gravelkings and a £30 Cosine saddle from Wiggle, which ironically has been the most comfortable saddle i've ever owned. Also speedplay zero with ti axles and a ebay UNO stem. Had forgotten how amazing proper road pedals + stiff shoes feel. Been on the Speedplay Frogs and spd shoes for 6 months. Will probably fit 35mm Compass rubber soon.
Sry shite photo.

You should totally fit some 650bs on it, totally.
-
• #323
Been thinking about it, but as it already takes 38mm, and the max width of tyres the curved seatstays will accept is ~43 mm. 650x42 or such would bring down the bb too much (?).
-
• #324
What pressure have you been running the GravelKings?
-
• #325
Not that much, the 650b in 42mm is the same circumference as a 700c in 23mm, so if you want to test the BB height, simply fit a 23mm tyres if you can.
