Hi
Having a January clearout of some tech to pave the way for more bike stuff.
Up for grabs are 2 awesome machines - both of which have some issues, hence the low price of £250 a pop. Some pics here https://goo.gl/photos/vuyxSpMLD3J9Dj1f7
First up:
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 i3 tablet/laptop hybrid. 64GB SSD, 4 GB RAM including MS Type cover and Black Surface Pen and Windows 10 Pro.
These are awesome machines and was my daily portable driver, until it fell onto a concrete floor, landing on the top right corner. Result - there is crack in the cover glass in the top right quarter, so the touch screen/pen now only works in the other 75% of the screen. Other than that the machine is in perfect working order - no damage to the LCD itself or dead pixels, it is just limited damage to the digitiser.
So the machine still works 100% as a laptop (with majority touch input still working) but is less suited to tablet duties or drawing.
Paid £639 a year ago, plus £109 for the keyboard and £45 for the black pen recently to replace the original pen that I lost.
Would make a great home machine or if you have no interest in tablet use (which frankly these machines aren't as great at due to Windows itself) then this is a bargain. N.B. if you ever wanted to get it fixed, some 3rd parties will do it, or you can get an out of warranty replacement (i.e. new machine) for £216 from MS last time I checked. So that would still be bargain price for this.
Or if you are more a Mac person...
Apple Macbook Air 11 inch (Late 2010) 1.4Ghz Core2Duo; 64GB SSD, 4GB Ram plus Apple USB keyboard w/numeric pad, Mighty Mouse, Micro Displayport to HDMI adaptor and 2x Apple MagSafe adaptors (one well used, other boxed as new). OS X El Capitan (latest)
My wife's old laptop finally retired, as it has developed an intermittent keyboard issue, where only about 50% of the keys work. Otherwise operates perfectly. No problems with trackpad or screen or anything else. Not sure it is hardware or software related, and I imagine could be an easy fix if you're willing to invest the time.
As such we've been using it for the last 6 months as essentially a Mac mini with a built in screen- adding a USB keyboard, mouse. I'm also throwing in a HDMI adaptor so you could go all the way an make this a desktop or cheap media server for your TV.
Both items are collection only SE15 evenings or weekends. Both machines have original boxes to boot.
Thanks for looking
