Colnago c50 build advice!!

Looking to build up this Colnago c50

Not sure on the year if anyone can advise?

Looking to go either full 3t set up seatpost/stem and bars) mavic slr kysrium and undecided on DA 9000'or campa record? Want the classic carbon frame look with the modern parts/ feel etc

Also Chris King headsets? Never used one, are they good?

Looking mean, thats quite some saddle to bar drop.
Speaking of which, red stem stripe should go, try some acetone. I would keep everything plain and simple to let the frame stand out.
Are we talking 11s Record? Then I would suggest DA9000, even though Colnagos should have Campa, really...
10s Campagnolo carbon gruppo should fit nicely.

Chris King are the best, I'd go DA9000, performance and look wise. Will be an awesome bike for sure!

Everything plain black deffo- get sanding or paint stripping or whatever.. Try just taping over red stripe to see how it looks?

Definitely needs all black finishing kit. Get the acetone out; that stem stripe should come off easily. 3T seatposts are poor. FWIW, I've got a Deda Superzero carbon seatpost I could do you. It's all black (or UD carbon at least); logos have been removed.

Groupset; gotta be Campag.

I'm going down the 10s record route. Since Halcro has sold me the front and rear mechs. So I'm awaiting these, orders the 3t stealth bar/stem and seatpost. Totally agrees with the red taking the look away from the bike!

Got a nice set of Zipp 303 tubs floating around, so I'm going to bang these on.

Bit of a seat to bar drop, I've always been very flexible and this is the best position for me. No problems with my FTP of 354. Tried this lifted and the power figures went way down! Probably due to aero drag on the chest being more raised

wind resistance won't reduce your wattage, but your speed. or are we talking estimated watts by strava?

Gone with 10 speed record and flipped the wheelset to 303 zipps

Awaiting the levers and calipers on the way from the eBay!
Record 10 speed chainset are on merlin cycles @ 100 and £109 depending on arm length if any one needs one!

I would try 1st gen carbon cranks, but its just me loving that squared carbon patern.

Got two sets of these. They are the most gorgous chainset ever made.

Record 10 speed is a good choice. I ride it every day and it is flawless. It might be the best groupset ever in fact. you have a lovely bike.

Nice bike (still need to get rid of that red stripes though)! I keep asking myself what kind of room is that? ;)

It's an unfinished garage conversion into the dining room. Made a compromise with the missus, she gets my garage but I get to have the bikes hung on the wall!! Suppose it's art??
