Just spotted from your geo pic, on your 29er the head angle is steeper than the seat tube angle, I'm not too down with 29" geo trends, but isn't it usually the other way round?

That cuz it's huge.

The actual ( bendy ) STA is 68.5 degrees, whereas the virtual ( straight ) STA would be 71.5.

Still say it's because it's fecking huge.
Stick a 71.5 STA on a 29er my size, and I might as well mount the cranks on the front hub. Trike style.

Ah that makes sense, hope you're still getting on well with it

I should probably formalise this, so dibs if you ever sell. Wish I'd had the money when it came up for sale.

Very nice indeed. You did a great job speccing that ;-)

• #4868
Very nice, but gone to all that effort and still using inner tubes?

@umop3pisdn Noted although this bike is so much fun I doubt I will sell it any time soon.
@BareNecessities It actually belonged to Velocio who I bought it from. All I've done is change the handlebars, tyres and saddle.
@gabes Yeah, the rims are tubeless ready, right? All my other bikes have tubes, I'm used to tubes... is it really worth me changing over?

Anyone looking to shift some narrow 29er tyres (2" or less)? Not too bothered about wear, just need to check clearance on my cross bike before I spend on new tyres.
Some serious ripping and roosting goin' on there. Even sik air.
