I think she's got it wrong. @airtime had this problem and did exactly what I described with his solicior . purchase price at land registry was x, the price paid in reality was x minus 2 or 3/grand.
You would need to agree that the allowance was in respect of property improvements though..

Well if @AirTime could give me some more info that would be good because currently we've reached an impass
I've done that but she said whatever happens if the purchase price is different from the mortgage offer then she'll have to report it to the lender.
Unless I'm explaining it wrong
