Any driving instructors on the forum?

Free training course looking at how and what you teach drivers about cycling and cyclists this Sunday in Hackney

A NEW 3.5 hour training module is aimed at enabling Driving Instructors to develop a short in-car teaching module for new drivers. The module comprises of two elements: a practical cycling module and a classroom session.

In the classroom: Driving instructors discuss their experience of cycling and of teaching driving. Discuss common myths and misconceptions around cycling, and develop some teaching points for them to use with new drivers.

On bike module: Driving instructors begin with learning/refreshing their basic bike control, then go on road to explore how trained and untrained cyclists ride on the road and in different types of infrastructure, then focus on what drivers should do in these places.

It's about time I learnt to drive. Can anyone recommend a North London based driving instructor? I'm in N15.

Bumpity bump. I had my first play in a car on private land this weekend. Getting used to the pedals might take a while. Lots to try to remember until it becomes second nature.

So, anyone got a recommendation for a North-ish London driving instructor? Forumers were recommending Holborn School of Driving (formerly the Italian School of Motoring), but that was a few years ago. Will anyone pick me up from work in SW1 and let me drive home via Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, Holborn etc for a hazardous first lesson? ;)

No recommendations for North, but I used a nice instructor from Bill Plant. They're pretty good value - first 5 lessons for 56 quid.
