I like a more race and responsive geometry. So caad10 does seem the better option.

To be fair on the CAAD10, it's pretty comfortable for an aggressive frames, having said that you can make any frames idea for sportive/long ride by changing a few components easily (if the frame allow it).
Ive read reviews on the defy and heard it seems "sluggish" which isnt what I like, I like a more race and resposive geometry. So caad10 does seem the better option.
