I like a more race and responsive geometry. So caad10 does seem the better option.

To be fair on the CAAD10, it's pretty comfortable for an aggressive frames, having said that you can make any frames idea for sportive/long ride by changing a few components easily (if the frame allow it).
Ride better? Fighting talk.
As with everything- this is subjective, in the extreme.
I hated the defy I hired in Mallorca, it was just so dull to ride.
So, now you have two contradicting viewpoints. ;)
