Haha, @Gaston is good always for the French side of the tracks!! Ye I reckon I probably fix it up to be a good usable pista/piste first just to fly around on. Always wanted one just to know the feel of a fixed gear track bike(couldn't bare to turn a road bike to a fixie).
I more than likely will end up doing a complete restoration. I built two pairs of wheels as a goal last year and now that plateau has been reached I have an itch for painting. I would like to learn how to sand blast a frame and paint accordingly and this is the perfect bike for it IMO. I have a soft spot for pugs and their paint designs as what sparked my interest in cycling was pulling a Peugeot from a ditch in my friends student house, pumpin' up the tires and taking a 15 meter spin on my first racing bike. As far as the restoration goes it will be a long term build and as I'm just too damn busy these days with college + work.
In terms of the Group set. It seems to be good, Rear wheel's spokes are rusty as hell so I might rebuild front and back with DT Swiss DB spokes + Nos Mavic Rims, French Pista pedals, Campy seatpost, new saddle but I will see if it is all applicable to my current state of funds. Def gonna be a long term and 100% period correct build. Seatpost Binder is Campagnolo :)
Very little info towards Peugeot Piste Velos and one thing is for sure, this wasn't made in the Peugeot Factory.
