yes actually the finished bracket should double as THE sliding/chain tensioner bracket on the left side.
And assume the horizontal strip to mount the caliper is in steel yeah?
yes, original idea was to make it all in a single piece of aluminium, but that got a bit complex so now it more of a mockup to get a feel of the dimensions and then maybe something refined later...
And then the chainstay clamp allows it all to slide to get chain tension?
Well sort of. The clamp stays in place on the chainstay holding the small platform (weird wedge shape) fixed and then the sliding steel bracket is bolted to that. The chainstay narrows inwards toward the BB so there is only one spot where it and the steel bracket intersects.
But everything needs testing before I'm certain...
